Pleuntje van Meer (Netherlands and UK) works as trainer, academic mentor, individual coach and sparring partner for business leaders. She seeks to inspire others with energy, original thinking, inquiry and feedback. Her grounding principle is that practices of good work contribute to a better life-world for all.
Pleuntje has collaborated with the Barrett Values Centre since 2001, as training partner and as advisor for corporates, consultancies and mid-size organisations. Her aim for the CTT training is to support participants in working with CTT, culture, and values effectively. Her workshops prepare with upfront reading and reflection. The workshop includes practical case studies, focusing on specific applications of CTT such as exploring a boardroom request, designing a learning and change intervention or determining core values. There is also space for your questions and case-studies and the meeting is followed with practical support.
Pleuntje’s academic theory is that extending ways of knowing, expands ways of being. What she has learned about values is the importance of giving them meaning both in terms of behaviour towards others, as much as to ourselves through living them inwardly. She explored this in her doctorate on change, inquiring into practices of reflexivity. Her practice of artful knowing aims to design humanising, action oriented learning experiences. The values she brings to life in her work are learning, integrity and commitment. Pleuntje shares her ideas in articles, book chapters, and toolkits, through the BVC website LinkedIn, and http://www.synnova.com.
Pleuntje’s personal values are creativity, freedom and care. She enjoys study, writing, walks and creative explorations in her painting studio. Home is for her the best place to recharge, connect with family, friends and her dog Tika.
